Aline Damphousse Endowment Fund

INTRODUCTION

Aline Damphousse, loving wife and mother, died of stroke-related complications in Ottawa on May 3, 2019. Aline lived her life to its fullest, and is remembered for her kindness, generosity, abundant energy and unwavering positivity. Aline's family have established this endowment in her honour with the stated purpose of funding stroke research at the University of Ottawa. Aline believed strongly in the value of education to create a better life for everyone, and her family in turn believes that this endowment is the best way to honour her belief and her beautiful life.

 

PURPOSE OF FUND

Recognize a graduate student at the University of Ottawa who has distinguished him/herself through the research they are conducting on stroke at the University of Ottawa Brain and Mind Research Institute.

 

AWARD DETAILS

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must:

  1. be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, a person with the protected/refugee status or an international student;
  2. be registered as a full-time student in a graduate program at the University of Ottawa;
  3. conduct research on stroke at the University of Ottawa Brain and Mind Research Institute as part of their program; and
  4. demonstrate great potential in their field of research.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
No application is required. The award is allocated on the annual Brain Health Research Day (usually in May).
