Triskell Travel Fund
 
PURPOSE OF FUND
To support travel costs and/or scholarship fees to attend a summer course in Irish, Scottish Gaelic, Welsh or Breton language either abroad or in North America.
 
SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must:
  1. be registered as a full-time undergraduate student, and EITHER be registered in the Minor in Celtic (CLT) Studies program at the Department of Modern Languages OR have completed at least three Celtic courses (at least one of them an Irish language course) at the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures;
  2. be in good academic standing, with a minimum CGPA of 8.0; and
  3. intend to register to a summer course in Irish, Scottish, Gaelic, Welsh or Breton language either abroad or in North America, and submit a justification of the purpose, value and necessity of the requested travel funding (500 words), including a summary of the travel budget.
Note: The recipient of this Fund will be asked by the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures to provide a short report on the outcome of the proposed activities after completion of the travel.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Applications must be made through Online Scholarships and Bursaries, which can be accessed through the uoZone portal, and should include:
  1. an unofficial copy of the applicant’s academic transcript; and
2.   a justification of the purpose, value and necessity of the requested travel funding (500 words), including a summary of the travel budget.
