TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR AN ENDOWED FUND

NAME OF ENDOWMENT FUND (OTSS [1] )

Kathryn MacNabb Lamensa Commemorative

Scholarship Fund

INTRODUCTION

With the initiative of Kathryn's husband, the support of her family and friends, and the generous matching contributions by the Government of Ontario, the "Kathryn MacNabb Lamensa Commemorative Scholarship Fund" was created. True to the definition of a well-rounded individual, she combined a talent for sports and a love of the outdoors, with a flare for the Arts.

Kathryn (Kathie) obtained her degrees in Political Science at Queen's University and Law from the University of Ottawa, eventually being called to the Bar of Ontario. Although Kathie had accomplished many things in her short life, her true passion and talent was writing. The latter was channeled creatively into newspaper editorials and all facets of theatre. She was a founding member of her own theatre company in Toronto. Unfortunately, Kathie's hopes and dreams of writing were cut short by cancer.

The donors hope, with this financial assistance, that a person sharing similar interests may be able to continue their pursuit in writing, communications or journalism. The donors thank the Government of Ontario who helped create this fund through its generous matching contributions.

PURPOSE OF FUND
