INTRODUCTION
The Frederick Karam Scholarship was created to honour the name of the late Frederick Karam, composer, conductor, organist and theory teacher, and a founding staff member of the Department of Music (now the School of Music) of the University of Ottawa.
 
PURPOSE OF FUND
Award a scholarship to an undergraduate student at the School of Music who shows outstanding promise in the field of music theory.
 
SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS
Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must:
  1. be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, a person with the protected/refugee status or an international student;
  2. be registered full-time to the third, fourth or fifth year of a Bachelor of Music program (including the BMus combined programs) at the School of Music of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Ottawa; and
  3. show outstanding promise in the field of music theory.
