TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR AN ANNUAL FUND

NAME OF ANNUAL FUND

Robert Wallace Scholarship

INTRODUCTION

Christopher Boal created this scholarship in honor of his friend and mentor, Robert J. Wallace. Upon completing 11 years of service in the Royal Canadian Air Force, Robert’s career was largely directed over a period of 35 years towards representing his co-workers as a union official with the Canadian Federal Civil Service.

Before retiring, Chris was a Library Technician at Algonquin College where he was an active member of the local union that represented the support staff. As his mentor, Robert encouraged Chris to enroll in the Certificate, Labour Management Relations program at the Telfer School of Management. Having formal education in Labour Management Relations helped Chris to better serve the members of the union, as well as interact with the Human Resource Specialists and Mangers. Christopher Boal understands the value of postsecondary education and strongly believes in providing the resources and tools students need to help them achieve their goals.

PURPOSE OF FUND

Provide a scholarship to deserving students at the Telfer School of Management in financial need.
