Nora Hickson-Kelly Scholarship in Music

INTRODUCTION

This scholarship was established in 2001 by Nora Kelly. Mrs. Kelly is a former teacher and a noted historian of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. She is the author of The Men of the Mounted, and co-author, with her husband, ofThe Royal Canadian Mounted Police: A Century of History, and Policing in Canada. She also is an accomplished pianist.


PURPOSE OF FUND

To provide a scholarship to a deserving student registered in the Bachelor of Music Program, Piano Performance, at the School of Music in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Ottawa.


SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must:

1. be registered in the Bachelor in Music Program, Piano Performance, in the School of Music of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Ottawa;

2. demonstrate academic excellence; and

3. show outstanding potential and have the intention of pursuing a professional career as a performing pianist.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
