ISOBEL FIRESTONE SCHOLARSHIP
 
INTRODUCTION
Isobel Firestone was a musician from an early age and she became a very accomplished pianist and piano teacher. Her generous donation toward the construction of Pérez Hall at the University of Ottawa was pivotal in the completion of the new music building project. The Isobel Firestone Music Library houses an extensive collection of scores, recordings and reference works. Her scholarship helps students pursue their musical goals, leading to successful careers as soloists, chamber musicians, orchestral players and teachers.
 
PURPOSE OF FUND
To provide a scholarship for excellence in performance to a full-time student registered in the Bachelor of Music Program (Performance) at the School of Music of the University of Ottawa.
 
SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS
Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must:

  1.       be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, a person with the protected/refugee status or an international student;
  2.       be a full-time student entering the third or fourth year of the Bachelor of Music program (performance); and
  3.       be an outstanding performer and have an excellent academic record.
