INTRODUCTION
The University of Ottawa Academic Accommodation Office is a free network of services and programs designed to support students so that they can thrive and find their own path to academic success. Delivered by professionals and fellow students, the Academic Accommodation Office programs and services are a catalyst for supportive, inclusive learning environments by building connections, working in synergy with our students, our university partners and the community, while adopting and furthering academic support best practices.
 
PURPOSE OF FUND
To provide financial assistance to uOttawa undergraduate students who are looking to develop their mental wellness.
 
SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must:
  1. be registered as a full-time undergraduate student at the University of Ottawa or have full-time equivalent status;
  2. be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident;
  3. demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Financial Aid and Awards Service of the University of Ottawa; and
  4. be a student actively engaged in overcoming personal challenges that effect academic success.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Applications must be made through Online Scholarships and Bursaries, which can be accessed through the uoZone portal, and should include:
1.      the Financial Questionnaire;
2.    a 500-word essay from the applicant on a personal challenge that has affected his or her ability to thrive academically and how the applicant has used or is using the Academic Accommodation Office to overcome this personal challenge; and
3.      a letter of support from a uOttawa staff member (student mentor, teaching assistant,          professor, learning specialist, professional counsellor, academic adviser, etc.).
