Class of Common Law 1963 Scholarship

INTRODUCTION

This scholarship was generously established by the Common Law Section’s Class of 1963 in light of their 50th graduating anniversary. As life-long comrades, it is now within their means of “giving back” to the University to support promotion of education and careers while providing a lasting legacy and a “helping hand” to their future colleagues

PURPOSE OF FUND

To provide financial support to a student entering the JD Program at the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law, Common Law Section, whose education would otherwise be compromised.

SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must:

1. be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, a person with the protected/refugee status or an international student;

2. be admitted and registered in the first year of the JD Program at the Faculty of Law, Common Law Section of the University of Ottawa;

3. demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Financial Aid and Awards Service of the University of Ottawa; and

4. demonstrate academic excellence.
