Zoya Solod Piano Scholarship
 
INTRODUCTION
The fund was established by Zoya Solod, native of the Ukraine, to encourage promising talent.  Mrs. Solod has studied piano since she was a small child. She graduated from McGill University and she was a music teacher in Ottawa public schools. 
 
PURPOSE OF FUND
To provide a scholarship to a talented graduate student who demonstrates outstanding potential in piano performance, at the School of Music, Faculty of Arts, University of Ottawa.
 
SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must:
1.      be registered in the MMus in Piano Performance or the Graduate Diploma in Music Performance at the School of Music of the University of Ottawa;
2.      have outstanding potential as a performer;
3.      demonstrate academic excellence; and
4.      demonstrate an intent to pursue a career as a concert performer. 
 
Value of the Award:                 Minimum $1,000, up to the cost of tuition fees

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Applications must be made through Online Scholarships and Bursaries, which can be accessed through the uoZone portal, and should include a letter demonstrating the applicant’s intent to pursue a career as a concert performer.
