University of Ottawa Admission Scholarship

INTRODUCTION

The Admission Scholarship is offered to newly admitted students who are undertaking university studies for the first time. Scholarship offers are based on admission average criteria, which vary according to the program you are admitted to. Offers are not transferable to another program.

Note: To allow more students to receive scholarships, we made changes to the admission scholarship program in 2015–2016. This Admission Scholarship is offered to newly admitted students who began their first year of studies as of Winter 2016 or later.

SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must:

1. be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident or have protected person or refugee status;

2. be registered full time in a direct-entry faculty or in the Faculty of Law, Civil Law Section;

3. fulfill the admission requirements of the faculty in question (Arts, Engineering, Health Sciences, Science, Social Sciences, Telfer School of Management or the Faculty of Law, Civil Law Section);

4. have an admission average between 80% and 100%.

The amount varies from $1,000 to $4,000 according to the grid below:

a. 95-100% - $4,000

b. 90-94.9% - $3,000

c. 85-89.9% - $2,000

d. 80-84.9% - $1,000

NOTE: Mature applicants and university transfers are not eligible for this scholarship.

No application is required for this scholarship; all eligible applicants are considered. The scholarship is offered automatically at the time of admission.
