INTRODUCTION

Armand and Margaret Weisbord were accomplished musicians, teachers, and mentors. Their expertise, musicianship and encouragement enriched the student learning experience and helped to shape countless talented and first-rate musicians.
 

PURPOSE OF FUND

The Armand and Margaret Weisbord Memorial Scholarship in Music at the University of Ottawa will provide financial assistance to an undergraduate or graduate violin student in the School of Music.
 

SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must:

1. be registered as a full-time student in the School of music;

2. achieve academic excellence;

3. be a violin student, possibly involved with the OSO mentorship program; and

4. demonstrate a commitment to pursue a career in violin; ie: teaching or playing professionally.


Value of the award: Minimum $1,000

Number of awards: One

Frequency of the award: Annual

Level or program of study: Undergraduate or Graduate

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

No application procedure is needed. The professors from the School of Music will be nominating

the recipient.
