Bruce Feldthusen Scholarship
INTRODUCTION
This fund was created by Martin Teplitsky to honour Bruce Feldthusen, Dean of the Common Law Section.
Bruce Feldthusen joined the University originally as Dean of the Common Law Section in January 2000. He also continued to teach Torts and to publish in the area during his deanship. In September 2007, Feldthusen was appointed to Interim Vice-President, University Relations at the University of Ottawa. The following July, he returned to Common Law as dean.
The founder of this fund thanks the Government of Ontario for their generous matching contribution.
PURPOSE OF FUND
To provide financial support to students entering the first year of Le programme de droit canadien JD/LL.L. at the Common Law Section of the Faculty of Law, whose education would otherwise be compromised.
SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must:
1. be admitted as a full-time student in the first year of Le programme de droit canadien JD/LL.L. at the Faculty of Law, Common Law Section of the University of Ottawa;
2. be an Ontario resident, as per OSAP [2] rules;
3. demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Financial Aid and Awards Service of the University of Ottawa; and
4. demonstrate academic excellence.
Value of the Award: Minimum $2,500

Frequency of the Award: Annual
Level of the Award: JD/LL.L.
