INTRODUCTION
This prize was generously created in honour of Harry Beahen, Q.C.
PURPOSE OF FUND
Award a prize to the student who has achieved the highest standing in either the course CML3323 – Insurance or the course CML3723 – Les assurances.
PRIZE DETAILS
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must:
1. be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, a person with the protected/refugee status or an international student;
2. be registered as a full-time student in an undergraduate program at the Faculty of Law, Common Law Section of the University of Ottawa; and
3. have achieved the highest standing in either the course CML3323 – Insurance or the course CML3723 - Les assurances.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
No application is required. The prize is awarded automatically. In case of a tie among several candidates, the average obtained in the compulsory courses for the program of study (rounded to two decimal places) is used to determine the recipient. If there is still a tie, the recipient will be selected by the Common Law Section based on the student’s academic record.
