Chad Bayne Entrance Scholarship in
Engineering and Law

INTRODUCTION

This scholarship was created thanks to the generosity of Mr. Chad Bayne.

PURPOSE OF FUND

To attract talented JD candidates who hold either an undergraduate or a graduate degree in engineering.
 

SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must:

1. be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, a person with the protected/refugee status or an international student;

2. be admitted as a full-time student in the JD program at the Faculty of Law, Common Law Section of the University of Ottawa;

3. hold an undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering; and

4. demonstrate academic excellence.

Note : The recipient will only receive their scholarship once they are registered in the JD program at the Faculty of Law, Common Law Section.

Level or program of study: Undergraduate

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

No application is required, the recipient will be chosen by the selection committee based on the documents provided with the application for admission into the JD program. In the case that multiple candidates meet the base requirements, the selection committee will decide upon the recipient based upon the award policies and standard criteria employed by the Common Law Section at the time of selection.
